Compare the candidates on the MDGs

by The Rev Mike Kinman

As we get close to the caucus and primary season, we have an opportunity to use the power of our voice and vote to put issues at the heart of our common faith -- our concern for the extreme poor around the world -- at the top of our national agenda.

Dear Ones,

As we get close to the caucus and primary season, we have an opportunity to
use the power of our voice and vote to put issues at the heart of our common
faith -- our concern for the extreme poor around the world -- at the top of
our national agenda.

As you prepare to cast your vote, I encourage you to visit the ONE Vote'08
website -- and particularly this page -
http://www.onevote08.org/ontherecord/ -- at which you can compare all the
candidates on-the-record statements on six issues drawn from the Millennium
Development Goals.

This isn't about party politics. ONE Vote'08 is a bipartisan (Bill Frist and
Tom Daschle are the co-chairs) initiative of the ONE Campaign, of which we
are a partner through ONE Episcopalian.

Anyway ... check out the site -- it's very educational.

Christ's peace,

Mike+

Mike...how can we start a grassroots campaign to convert a part to all of the special Earmarks into the MDGs! Wow! This would be powerful! All the best...Jim
