U2charist - St David and St Paul Powell River, BC

by Jeanette Scott

The Parish of St. David/St. Paul in Powell River, B.C. (on the opposite coast of the continent) will be celebrating Pentecost 2008 with an intergenerational, interdenominational U2charist at 4:30 p.m. on May 10th.

We are encouraging musicians from PR & from the lower Sunshine Coast,  Courtenay/Comox and Campbell River to be involved to do covers of a variety of U2 numbers.  As well, young people in the community are being invited to do presentations on social justice issues (e.g.  peace, global poverty, AIDS, caring for creation, children’s issues  - such as child slavery, sexual exploitation, human trafficking, etc.)

We would appreciate your prayers so that this can truly be a spirit-led, spirit-filled event.

And, if anyone wishes to join us on a lovely weekend in May, give me a call.  (Food & lodging can be arranged.)
