EGR Mission Mentors
Are you traveling or hoping to travel to the developing world to engage in God's mission of global reconciliation? EGR mission mentors are people who have gone before and are happy to assist you however they can. They can answer your questions about what (and what not) to take, local customs, travel tips. They can connect you with on-the-ground resources. They can even be a sounding board for your excitements and anxieties.
Eventually, this will look really cool with a clickable map, but for now just scroll down to the proper continent and country and see who is available for you.
And if you've traveled or lived doing MDG work in the developing world and would like to be a mission mentor, just email us with your information and we'll get you on the site!

When there: 2006
Work done/organizations worked with: Two years ago I was a member of our
diocesan mission group that went to Swaziland. We went to build a
school at Mpaka. As you know life for tribal people moves at a much
slower rate than in our society. We went with the expectation of
actually building the school and seeing a finished product, but the
bricks had not been made! So we ended up making the bricks by hand! As
I've told others, we went to build a school but instead we built
relationships and bricks. We learned so much about their culture--both
the issues they face and the wisdom they shared.
